Sometimes life is chaotic and painful and peace is hard to find. Sometimes we get discouraged. Sometimes we feel like we are in a war zone and hits keep on coming. Sometimes we feel like we are on an island all by ourselves. Jesus even said, “in this world, you will have trouble…” but He doesn’t stop there…”TAKE HEART”, he says, “because I have overcome the world.” Pastor Anthony Riley unpacks Philippians 4 in this message and encourages us that we can find peace even when all hell breaks loose in our lives. “Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword” -Jesus. (Matthew 10:34)
Wait…what? I thought Jesus was the Prince of Peace, but these words of Jesus seem to say something totally different. What do we do with this?
In part 3 of our Christmas series, Prince of Peace, Pastor Steve unpacks this provocative teaching of Jesus from Matthew 10, helping us understand how the Gospel of Jesus impacted the world in which Jesus was living…and the world in which we live today.

700 years before the birth of Jesus, a prophet named Isaiah spoke words of comfort and peace to a world-weary from pain, anxiety, and hopelessness. “A Messiah, a Savior is coming”, Isaiah said, “and he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”
And here we are, thousands of years later, living in a world-weary from pain, anxiety, and hopelessness and we don’t look forward in faith, but we look back in faith and believe that this Savior, Jesus came to bring peace to our world today. Pastor Steve Garcia unpacks a prophetic passage from Isaiah 9 that gives us comfort and hope as we understand why Jesus is called the PRINCE OF PEACE.

What would need to happen in your life for you to experience peace? Is it financially surviving the Christmas season? Or getting through the family gatherings without a fight? Is it making an important life decision and hoping it's the right one for you and your family? We all experience moments where things feel chaotic and stressful. In those moments, how are we to honor God?
In part 1 of our new teaching series, Prince of Peace, Pastor Joel Sanchez shares from John 14 that peace is not the absence of trials or a lack of problems, but a person that we can know and have a relationship with. Because of this relationship, regardless of what we go through, peace is possible.

For so many of us, money has a crippling effect on our decisions, our relationships, and our identity. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In part 4 of our series Money Talks, Pastor John unpacks the story of the Rich Young Ruler in Luke 18. It’s a convicting and sad story of what happens when we put all of our hope in the wrong thing. How would you feel if your pastor wore $4000 sneakers?
Would you think, “wow, God must be really blessing them for their faithfulness and it makes me want to be more faithful!” or would you be thinking, “wow, what a crooked hypocrite. A real pastor would only buy shoes from Payless.” In this message, Pastor Steve unpacks the value of HONESTY in how we spend our money in the third part of a message series called: MONEY TALKS. When it comes to money, so many of us have placed so many things ahead of God. We’ve put ourselves first, we’ve put our feelings first, we’ve put our fears first. But the reality is that Jesus wants to hold that first place in our lives. In this message, Pastor Steve unpacks the value of PRIORITY in part 2 of the message series: MONEY TALKS. In this message, we look back to the Old Testament at how the Israelites kept God first in their giving and how God’s blessing would follow. And the challenge is the same for us today: if we can trust Jesus with our lives, the question is: can we trust Him with our cash?

Money often stood in the way of something Jesus talked about the most - and that was faith. Maybe you are flirting with the idea of stepping outside of God’s best for your life…Maybe you are deep in the trenches of destructive decisions.
Either way, a COMEBACK is possible.
In part 5 of our series called FLEX, we are looking at the final chapter of Samson’s life. It is a tragedy that didn’t have to end the way that it did.
